DO NOT ATTEMPT TO MOVE HERE!!!

I lived in Washington state and found my new job in Sarasota, FL. Since we needed to move, obviously I needed to find a place for me, my husband and our two children to live in that area. I found Gulf Gate and it seemed like a great place to live. I was asked to overnight my deposit and application fees so they could save my apartment. I was also told that I had the apartment and that she turned it in to her manager that we were moving in. We packed our stuff and headed to Florida. While in Texas visiting family I checked my bank account and saw that both checks had cleared. We were really excited that everything was going as planned...until I received a phone call from the apartments and was told that because of a credit flaw, we can't move in. It has been 8 days since they were said they mailed my deposit back and I still haven't received it!!! All they keep telling me is that my check is in the mail.. What kind business does this to people' In my personal opinion, even if they offered me a lifetime of free living expenses, I would not even consider moving into this place!
