Not worth the $

I lived here for 1 yr and 7 mos. I shared a townhouse with my friend and her husband. We were fortunate enough to have decent neighbors on either side of us, but the drive through the complex to get to our townhouse was terrible. Often times there were cars blocking the roads and we would have to drive on the grass to get back to our place. We paid $900 for the townhouse, and had problems from the beginning. There were roaches everywhere. There were water leaks from the water heater upstairs that caused the ceiling to bow and appear as if it would collapse. The screens on our patio were torn out during a hurricane day, and no one ever came to replace them. Upon moving out I submitted a list of problems that I'd called the office about which were never taken care of. I asked the head maintenance guy about it, and he said the office manager had never forwarded any of our problems on to him. He said that if we'd planned on staying, we should go directly to his house to tell him of any concerns that way he could take care of them. We moved in in 2000, and we were told that they were going to paint the buildings before the summer's end as well as put a new roof on all of the buildings. To this day that still has not been done. The kids tore down the tennis court and use it to roller blade, play hockey, etc. The pools were so disgusting that I would assume to drive the 30 minutes to the beach instead. The play area is laden with beer bottles. I would not recommend living in this community.
