If you are looking forward to an apartment comples that loses your packages, refuses to fix tings, frequently changes the lease, and is infested with bugs, rodents, and stray animals of all kinds, The Lexington is the place for you.
I have lived here for 6 months, and I cannot wait until my lease is up in one month. I moved here with my finace, thinking all was OK. Wanda (the manager) was very assuring and polite when we signed the lease and viewed the apartment-that all ended once we signed the lease.
Since then, I have had to endure constant music coming from the tenants above me. They refuse to turn it down. I have put up with constant drunkeness from the tenants across the street who think leaving their door open, drinking beer constantly and letting their guts hang over their shorts will help get them girls. I have had to dodge a number of stray dogs who seem to think the rash can is their permanant home-the management refuses to do anything about it. Perhaps most appealing though is the number of wild ducks that ---- and puke on my porch on a weekly basis.
Most recently I have been in an arguement with Wanda (the manager) about a package sent to me, signed for by the office secretary, and abruptly lost by the office. They assure me it is the fault of the post office-the same post office who keeps laser-scanned track of parcels.
Overall this place is a dump. The price may seem appealing (I think it's the cheapest in Sarasota), but do not be taken in. You get what you pay for, and when it comes to this place, that's not much.

PS-the buildings are ugly, the grass looks burned, the trees are dying, the pool contains mold, the lake is not blue, the carpet is stained, the wood is scratched, the walls look grey, and the smoke detector doesnt work! Enjoy living at The Lexington
