As a former resident & employee of Timberlake Apartments I'd like to share some hard facts with everyone! The situation was so bad that I was fired for "Blowing the Whistle!" I complained about many of the extremely unhealthy issues, such as mold,repair issues, bugs and over all cleanilness of the apartments!!!
What renters don't realize is that the parent company has been struggling for years.... At times payroll checks even bounced.
Most sub-contractors were NOT getting paid at all... What that means is that the Lawn would go un-cut for weeks and weeks until they'd finally hire (trick) another landscaper to work for them until they too would walk of the job for none payment! Apartments would not get prepared properly... (Cleaned, repaired, painted, carpet cleaned or replaced, dirty appliances, etc.)
Mold is a HUGE problem.... It is inside of many of the walls and/ or in the A/C compartments!!! The painter was intructed to paint over mold, instead of maintenance repairing the problems and removing it properly. There are actually some apartments that have had the walls removed in an attempt to get at the mold and nothing else was done... THESE APARTMENTS SIT VACANT BECAUSE THEY CAN NOT CONTROL THE MOLD!
The health department closed the pool and my boss reopened it without proper repair or inspection. The pool and whirlpool are NOT up to code! The spa pump and heater need repair and there is a leak! The pool grate does not fit properly!
Most of the apartments have original appliances that are indeed rusted and most stoves have burners that don't work. Refrigerators are small and smelly and most ice makers have been removed because they broke!!! (Management DOES NOT repair ice makers! Too costly and/ or some are soooo old that replacements can NOT be found!)Air Conditioners are old, loud and very ineffecient! Making the renters electric bill OUTRAGEOUS!!! Most apartment have extremely old, peeling brown particle board cabinets. (A few have been nicely updated, those are the ones they show you when your shopping for a place!)
Did I mention the BUGS!!!!!!!!!!! BUGS!!!!!!!!!! BUG!!!!!!!!!
What is so terrible if that management is so threatening to renters if they are late with a Zero-Tolerance or your OUT policy, but they do not maintain the property well or pay their bills'''
This IS the truth! Please, do not allow yourself to be a victim.
Ask around, call the Better Business Bureau, research the owner and his management company and decide for yourself.

I am so sick of employees that get fired and try to blame the owner for the job they did not do. I have been with this company for 2 years . My check has never bounced and neither has any other employee. If the previous property manager did her job there would not be any of these issues. If we did not pay our bills then why does the property look so good now that she is gone. There are beatiful flowers new flags and new professional sign . WHen she was here she did not get any thing replaced made her own hand wrtitten sign it look like we were back in school. We have gooten many compliments with all the changes comng. I have walk numerous apartments and have not seen any bugs. Ask Her how she left her apartment. Nasty and dirty She took furniture from apartment that people left there stuff in and then sold it all when she had to move. The polices are for all apartment communitys if your rent is late we can not let you live for free. this is a bussiness.Please do not allow people like this to scare you away come and see for your self before you make the choice of not renting here.

Sally, Sally, silly Sally - how on earth did you ever land a management position with ANY company??? Your post is full of misspelled words and grammatical errors!! This is a direct reflection on the company you represent. You are slandering a former employee in your post, someday that will catch up with you - it's called an ATTORNEY!!!! I know the former manager and saw her apartment when she vacated and it was NOT left "nasty and dirty!" Good thing she took pictures! Additionally, to say that the condition of the property is her fault is ludicrous!!!! She was only there a couple of months - the issues at the property have been ongoing for years!!!!
You really should shift your concerns from signs to the things that really matter to the residents - who's rent keeps the property afloat and pays your check - when it doesn't bounce! Start taking care of things like MOLD, stone age appliances, a/c systems that run constantly because they are so old, loud and inefficient that people's electric bills are through the roof!!! Put down some grass and get the place looking nice - not just at the front entrance!! Get some pool furniture and keep the pool and jacuzzi clean so people can actually enjoy them!!! STOP leasing to undesirable scum bags and pick up the dog crap that covers every square inch of the property!!!! Oh, and pay the dam* bills so you can keep your vendors!!!! Stop lying to people to get them to sign a lease and get your ---- straight!!!
You might want to consider a diet too, you fat slob!!!! And Judy might want to consider alcoholics anonymous - she's a drunk who most of the residents can't stand!!
Take it from me - I used to work for this company and it just keeps getting worse and worse!!! The best day of my life was the day I walked out the door for the last time!!! Don't rent there - they suck!!!!

Id love to give better details than this but Im not moved out yet and Id rather not have staff know who I am, even though its not wrong to tell the truth! At first I thought this place was alright for the price but now they are jacking it up and it's unbelievable. But the bug thing...TRUE. Not just for me but I had a friend here with the same problem. Mostly roaches. Ants get really bad if you aren't extremely careful, but they can be controlled. Parts of the wall are seriously cracking and falling off. And the pool is disgusting. Not to mention the air conditioning. TRUE. I get woke up several times during the night because it is so loud and thats WITH a loud fan in my room drowning out some of the sound. I mentioned it to staff and they said it was NORMAL. Right...Oh and I believe every word about leaving apartments empty because of mold. Once I move out Ill gladly give the apartment number of one of them. I feel bad complaining because this is not in anger towards the staff but it is SO unfair to the people who sign leases here and end up with ----. Fact is this place is old and falling apart and they simply need to stop renting it out, and take there buisness to another building.
