renters beware, management = sharks

When I moved in, everything was decent. Rent was a little high, but I assumed it was for the location and the grounds (which are nice by the way). However, the management's decisions at the end of my stay have really put a bad taste in my mouth--really bad.
To make a long story short, me and my wife paid a 500 dollar pet deposit (ouch) and a 200 dollar security deposit. At the end of our lease they stated to my wife that the deposits we paid were "fees" and that nobody ever gets them back. She got somewhat upset, rightfully so...but to make matters worse, now they have sent a certified letter because there are repairs to be done to the apartment that our security deposit and/or pet deposit has no bearing on!
At any rate, when you're moving in they will accomodate you, but once you've signed the papers, don't expect the same treatment. There has been quite a few occasions where I have entered the office and overheard some very inappropriate conversations between the staff.
Its one thing to have nice grounds, and you may think "hows the management going to affect my stay'" They can, and they very well may, based on my experience. I wouldn't stay here again.
That's just my honest opinion.
