The landscaping is nice and the main attractioon of living in a Palmer Ranch is the wonderful welcome mat. It is ever so easy to move in and the personnel ever so public relation oriented. However, one must wonder what turns lovely people into such aggressive corporate puppets who send eviction notices to families who only ask for a few days grace. Of course one must pay the rent but the local market can teach anyone how to turn rent into a mortgage which estalishes equity for the payee. Personally I beleive that the owners-operators are leaning on the managers and giving them illegal goals to reach that may increase the owners personal property equity. Managers probably have just as many bills to pay and deadlines to meet facing eviction. The pressure on the individual or family unit that Camden places on daily can only be explained through corporate mandates who have no human interests only capital interests. It really requires organization in the order of activist resident groups who bulid a central funding base to provide legal counsel for those who are being abused or intimidated or harassed by the management. The first step is not to run - son't move; take a stand, organize and create a group voice and a group legal fianacial base. Don't think you can tough it out alone. confront the owners with escrow, that means you pay rent into an established escrow account and the landlord does not receive any payment until complaints have been arbitrated privately or in court. Believe me, the management will stop breathing down your neck because no payment into the owners account means no pay checks for the managers who are harassing you and they. too will join in the struggle. Organize
and create the power base. Take a stand - don't blame the managers but the owners for the constant pressure that is eroding your family life here. Apartment living is a fact of life in Sarasota - be part of the power base to make policy. You are athe onsumer and you rule. Make demands by organizing.
