I have an update. We came back from vacation to find our a/c was out. It has been over a week and although they supplied us with 2 tiny window a/c units, the a/c is still out. Every day I am told another excuse. I don't understand why they won't just tell me the truth. We just renewed our lease, or I would make other arrangements. It is over 90 every day and we are dying! My son has asthma and it is killing him. You can't cook (hot oven), you can't do laundry (outside), you can't do any yard work (nowhere to cool off). What kind of existence is this' And every time I call, I get laughed at and told another lie. I have lived here 4 years and I am being treated like some punk kid that just came off the street and rented my first apt. Stay away if you want anything fixed in a decent amount of time. By the way, when I said there were some negatives before, I mean, they used our water to pressure wash our town home and two others. They would not reimburse us. They have told us when something will be done (ex: painting, fire extinguisher inspection) and then changed it without letting us know several times. They don't even know that their open times on their voice mail are incorrect. They come and mow and leave grass all over the front door. They killed half of our orange trees so now we have very little shade. With house prices going down, paying $900 a month to be treated like this is not looking like such a good deal after all.
We have lived here for 4 years. It has changed a lot in that time. It is the best deal around for the price, but of course that keeps going up each year. It is nice to have a small yard. There are some negatives, but all in all it's pretty decent.

I use to live in Valley View. While I don't know what it is like now, when I lived there it was okay at first but then our a/c went out. It was on a Friday morning. I called right away since it was middle of summer and of course very hot. I was told they would be out ASAP but for sure that same day. I reminded them that we had disabled people in the house and we needed the a/c. That is posted in our lease. So, by Friday afternoon the maintenance man is drinking beer on property (clearly off duty) and not coming to fix my a/c. I am sure they have changed maintenance people since I lived there so don't take this personally if you currently work for them. I reported this to the office at once that my a/c is not working still and no one showed up. They informed me it would be Monday at best before someone came out. To make a really long story short my husband was able to make them understand that we could not be without a/c due to medical problems, not just discomfort. I understand too about the hot water heater leaking. Ours did the same thing except it totally went, water everywhere, and I mean everywhere. Our carpets were squishy wet and they left it like that, standing water, squishy. It was bad to say the least. Again, complaint after complaint and they finally came out and fixed the situation. It took some time to dry out the carpet and replace some of it due to mold. It was bad and my son was a baby at the time. All in all, I was very glad to move from Valley View.

Now these people want us to pay them $7000 because they can't rent out our apartment..... wonder why... if you read the reviews.... They negated on the contract when they refused to fix our a.c. and refused to fix all the other numerous problems. whatever. i own a home now. They tried to say that they had several truck loads of garbage to pick up...um, there were about 5 people moving out on the same day...see above for reasons why.... it is not our stuff...we took care of our own. how can you say who put what in the dumpster when there are so many people moving out and why are they all moving out anyway????? HMMMMMMMMM
