Not Renewing My Lease Either

We moved in, in May. We took the advice of another poster on here and drove through at various times of the day.
Keep in mind when you first come in, the staff is going to be as nice as possible to get you to sign. They will tell you want you want to hear and make promises that will NEVER happen. Don't buy into it for cheap rent, you are getting the services you pay for, I assure you.
We let management know something was up with the AC before we moved, we were told it was fixed, it never was. On move in day, window units were put in, 3 weeks later they had to replace the whole AC unit. We have had issues ever since. As requested, we turned in our "problem" list the first week we moved in, NOTHING HAS BEEN FIXED. It is now Sept and even with the new manager Lisa telling me personally it would be done again, NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE. I was promised a month ago she was making changes, what a laugh.
My husband went to the office the other day to tell Lisa the air needed to be fixed again and ask about all the other issues, she constantly interrupted him and he became frustrated and didn't bother to ask about anything else besides the air. Here's a hint, let your resident talk Lisa, we are paying your salary in the long run. Also, most of the maintenance speak very little English.
The buildings are built well, however any repairs that "are done" and anything that is replaced is being done by people that really don't know how to do a basic caulk job. Again you are getting what you pay for.
A lot of teens do hang at the pool, but I personally go EVERY TIME with my kids because I don't like the language the unsupervised ones use and a lot of the things that go on down there when parents allow the pool to be the babysitter. The bathrooms are disgusting, never have any lights or toilet paper, I would walk 10 miles to get to my bathroom to NOT use them at the pool.
This could be a great place to live, but until changes are made and DRASTIC ONES, I am urging every single one of you that bother to check this site to look elsewhere. Not only will you be helping your own family, you will be helping the ones that live here by setting an example that treating clients like they are poor, worthless people once they sign a lease, will not be tolerated.
I personally will move at the end of my lease, regardless of what is done at this point. If the owner even bothers to check this site, I hope you know that the company you pay to run your property is giving you a bad name and making YOU appear as a cheap ingrate to the people that live here. Each one of them passes the blame to the next employee.

If you are comfortable with living somewhere for a few weeks that you just moved into in Florida in the summer with no central a/c, then you can't be very picky about things when it comes to your family. You can't judge a place by a couple weeks. Try living here for several years, then talk to me about how you feel. All the units are going out because they are so old and haven't been replaced. It wasn't like they did you a favor by replacing it. They had to.

I wanted to respond to the comment that was left. I Grew up in Florida, I didn't just move here on a whim no knowing what the heat and humidity are like. I also didn't just move my family in with no air. I was told the system had been repaired prior to move in. Window units were brought quickly. By the way you responded, It seems as if you currently live here and aren't happy with it. If that is an issue, don't renew your lease and post a comment about your experiences so people like me know whats up BEFORE hand. I never said what they did was a favor to me. I know the rules, I know my contract and I know what my protection is per the law.
