This is a unique community. It is almost like owning your own house because there are only two units per building and you have your own fenced-in yard. I just renewed my lease here, so I am going on three years of living here. We got a new manager last year who is GREAT! Had some maintenance problems before then (move-in list was never completed!), but when he started, he made it a point of introducing himself to everyone and actually ASKED me if there were any issues. Everything was done within two weeks! Had a broken water pipe recently, and, even though it took two weeks to identify and fix, I actually felt worse for THEM because they were fixing 3 other water problems simultaneously and quite literally, running their "behinds off". Brandon (the manager) just pitches right in. Everything was fixed and left better than new. I felt more like I was thanking my "brother-in-law" or some family member than thanking the "apartment manager". A lot of people here feel that way, and it makes everyone else look out for each other too. Maintenance is slow, but it's more because there is so much to do and they are spread pretty thin. The good thing about these being older buildings is that they were built solid - so you never even HEAR your neighbor. And the two units are staggered, so you really dont even SEE them either. I have read that some people have A/C problems, but mine could chill beef!! And Gladys is a sweetheart (secretary)! It's been a great place for me and my daughter to be, and obviously, we renewed our lease, so that speaks for itself.
