Useless Management and Maintenance, Frustrating and Overcharged From: peachybeachy Date posted: 6/12/2004 Years at this apartment: 2000 - 2004   I've had more than a few problems last 4yrs I've lived here. Facility maintenance and upgrade needed very badly with elevator not working half the time, washer/dryer not operating properly, change machine taking your money etc. Funniest one was the gate they have put. It took them over a year to finally get that to work. It was almost embarrasing. Not enough parking, lighting or no security system. Personally I've had A/C unit pipe failure last year which resulted in flooding in my closet. They didn't seem to figure out what the real problem was and took them more than 3 attempt to finally stop the leak. Speaking of leaks, my bathroom sing which was brand-new couldn't stop dripping. Again more than couple attampts later it seems to be okay. Last week the roof leaked after bad weather. I came home from work late that night to find a big pool of water in my living room. Management almost did not want to believe me when I reported it, even though I was not the only one who had roof leak. They say they fixed the problem. With our FL summer ahead I certainly hope they are right. We also had couple of violent incidents in the building. One on the 1st floor and the second on the 3rd floor. Both involving breaking the windows with heavy tools of some sort. Not the most peaceful environment to live. Just last night (3a.m.) crashing noise woke me up. I thought someone was trying to break into my unit. With my cell phone in hand I noticed my closet rod decided to collapse ripping of the wooden board cheaply attached to wall for support. Since I noticed this was coming I had requested it to be fixed 10days ago, just to be ignored by the maintenance as always. I am ready to move out as soon as I find a house or condo. I've had it.
