My Apartment Made Me Sick

I was a resident at BrandyWine for several years. I moved out about a year ago. I never realized how sick my apartment was making me until moving out. I have allergies, but I had only experienced occasional symptoms. But, I noticed more and more sinus headaches and sinus infections. I figured it was a result of living in Florida where mold and pollen is practically year 'round. Then I moved out of BrandyWine and I've noticed a dramatic decrease in sinus problems; I haven't had a sinus infection since I moved out. In the middle of the night, I'd hear critters running around and chewing in the attic. Although the office said they'd take care of it, the exterminator would come in, look at my ceiling, remark there was no access from my apartment, and leave. I'd relay this to the office with, of course, no resolution. I'm sure pooping and peeing rodents in the attic aren't healthy. I also made yearly requests to have my HVAC system cleaned, but only a minimal cleaning was performed...once. Now that I've moved out, I realize how sick my BrandyWine apartment was making me.

Now that you mention it, I did start feeling healthier when I moved out. I know for a fact that my air conditioning had mold in it. I bet yours did too. I always had a headache but thought it was due to dealing with the stress of the staff and poor living conditions. Now I'm thinking there could have been rodents aside from roaches and termites in that place. It doesn't surprise me one bit.
