Where do I begin. I have lived here almost 2 yrs now. To begin with the office cannot keep help. Very high turnover. No one ever knows whats going on, you will always get different answers from different ppl. I should've known from the beginning that it would have been horrible. At the time the property was running an awesome deal to move in 99.00 and first month free. What they dont tell you until afterwards is the 99.00 is only if you pass credit check. We were shown one apartment which was said to be ours, and then when we signed our lease we were brought to another apartment in a whole different area. I just chalked it up to an error, no big deal. I have had more problems with this apt. Garbage disposal never works correctly. Took them 6 months to finally fix it and now i dont even use it for fear itll break again. For whatever reason it would back up with a thick black sludge substance. I'd leave for work and there would be nothing in the sink and then come home in the evening to find the thick sludge over everything. the counters, sink, floor, and cabinets. They couldn't explain it. Maintenance has no clue how to fix anything. Quick fixes is what they do best. You have to keep on them about everything. I would call and call, leaving messages (Office never answers the phone) no one would call. I even at one point called the Aimco resident relations and nothing was done. I have had to fix things myself due to tired of waiting for maintenance to come.
The kitchen stove would give us electrical shocks when used. I went to the office to let them know and their reply was thats normal, its just electricity from walking on the carpet and then into the kitchen. Finally after months of complaining about it they replaced it. Refrigerator leaks water all the time. They came looked at it and left. Nothing was ever done. Water leaks are a norm here. I've had numerous ones. One day I had 3 leaks from the same source ( water heater from apt upstairs) supposidly they fixed it but it kept leaking. the water had leaked so bad that it had sat in the ceiling and then ran down the wall. There fix for the wall was to just paint over it. Bathroom has same issues. toliet leaked from the upstairs apt. and there was a HUGE MOLD spot growing in my ceiling. They didnt seem to be in any hurry to fix it. Finally maintenance came and sprayed some stuff on it and then left. I've got mold in the bedroom carpet against the wall from the bathtub leaking.
Parking is horrible.. there is a couple who runs a cab business from there apt. so they have there cabs parked outside all the time taking up spots.
Saftey- We just had a double homicide here not even a month ago. Always drunk people and parties in the summer.Someone has tried to break into my apt at least a half dozen times since i've been here. The response from the office is make sure your windows are locked at all times and they gave me these special locks to put on the window sills as well.
Notices.. They love to leave notices on your door for everything.. at least thats what they claim... They were installing new fire alarms in the apt.. i had no notice that anyone was comming and came home to a huge mess. Response from the community manager was we put a notice on your door. (i never got a notice)
Bottom Line- All they want is your money. As long as you pay your rent. God forbid they have to fix anything the correct way. The rents are high and they don't even include the water or anything. BEWARE... Make sure you get EVERYTHING in writing.. dont take there word for anything.. Trust me. Cant wait until my lease is up.

Your maintenance issues mirror my experiences here perfectly. its like they don't even care if their property gets damaged and we know they don't give a s--- about ours. they just kept telling me that if i was concerned about my things, i should get renter's insurance. renters insurance to back up their negligence, i guess. i don't think anyone in the entire corporation knows how to answer a phone. If they do, that's all they know.
