I have lived here for 7 months and am so glad to be getting out of here.first they lie about the apartments i have a stove from the late 70,s no lie they said all apartments come with new applinces B.S. they told me they will replace it when it cant be fixed anymore.the A/C needed to be replaced but i had to have them come 3 times to put freon in it before they changed it.they painted over everything all the dust and dirt were left on the walls and they painted over it they even painted the contertop to keep from replacing it.the cabinets are the original ones from when it was built in 1979 and the water damage and mold made them fall apart but instead of replacing them they just patch it and paint it with killz to cover the mold.the noise from the apartments next to me come thru the walls because the walls are thin(nothing like hearing the neighbors have sex next door). as for pest control do it yourself you pay for it but cant say i had any done. If you like living in a walmart parking lot then you will love the traffic all the time 24/7 and the people that live here some of the most nasty and nosey dirtbags i have ever seen and i know that alot of drugs are being sold here,oh yea and two people where murdered here a couple years ago i knew them personally from working at the tyrone mall and it was never solved(ask the manager bet he will deny it but look up crimetracker on TBO.COM ) my car was damaged by vandels and i pay extra for covered parking. as for a bbq area the only one i see that is halfway desent is next to the office the others have no bbq or you wouldn't want to cook off it. the dog owners NEVER pick up after their dogs. when the got money from AIMCO to renovate the apartments the spent it on new numbers on the apartments(woohoo now the cops can find your apartment)respray the asphalt and put new paking lines and oh yea complete renovation of the office but NOTHING for the inside of the apartments for the people that pay the bills. Management smiles in your face as long as you dont complaine too much and dont be 3 days late on your rent you will pay extra 100 dollers and have to get a money order even if you never been late before and your standing infront of them with your rent in your hand they wont take cash.DO YOURSELF A FAVOR DONT EVEN LOOK HERE YOU WILL BE SORRY AND HAVE A HECK OF A TIME TRYING TO GET OUT.

Ok, first of all you are correct in a few areas. One, the owners do not pick up after their dogs and it's gross. second, they did'nt solve the double homocide, but noone expected the brandywine employees to play detective. we can thank SPPD for that. I dont' disagree with what you experienced but, I lived there for 7 years and have nothing but great things to say about the management team. If anything broke they were there within hours to fix it, they replaced my frig and oven at first glance, and they refunded my full deposit when i left without a question. they were always gracious, friendly and more than helpful. they evicted noisemakers, troublemakers and down right nasty tenants whenever they had more than 3 complaints. were the tenants a nuasance...yes, were there cars broken into, sometimes, did the neighbor nextdoor drive me crazy with his stereo from time to time, yes! but, welcome to apartment life, that's anywhere. if you want a complex that gets the job done, supports their good tenants and gives the place a facelift when needed....Brandywine is a great place, location and home to live in.

I completely agree with the original poster. He/ she is right about everything, especially the noise and the uncaring management. Ever try calling the corporate office? They'll just blow you off, too. When they repainted everything prior to me moving in, they didn't even bother to clean up after themselves; sloppy and dried paint remains in my sink and bathtub. Pipes are sucky as well. I know when my neighbors flush the toilet and take a shower and I'm sure they know when I do too. They advertise private balconies - what a crock! I can't wait to get the hell out of here and I have been and continue to tell others not to rent in this sorry place.

yes, those renovations were a joke. plus, how many times have they redone the area with the pool. they only fixed up the things new comers would see so it would look nice in their internet pictures and impress people coming to visit. we know that the insides of the apartments with the mold, bugs, floods and peeling paint would never suck people in. They don't show them that there is only one place to dump your trash and that your garbage disposal will be broken for months leading to dirty standing water and even more bugs. i too used to work at the mall and i know for a fact that drugs are sold here. sadly that's the least of your worries living here.
