I just moved out of my apartment a few weeks ago. Everything was fine and on good terms. I then got my letter letting me know what my refund desposit was and they charged me $50 for a cut on the counter top!!!! I called and went to look at it. That cut had to of been there before I moved in because of the way I had things set up there is no way I could of cut it. Now the apartment has been empty for 3 weeks now but the "cut" has not been fixed yet. I left that apartment cleaned when I moved, I even filled in the nail holes in the walls. At first I would of told people about the apartments but I will not now. For the most part the office staff is great but dealing with the Office Manager is something else. If you move in make sure you take pictures of EVERYTHING, because they will find something to charge you with.

This is just one example of how mportant a thorough walk-through inspection of your new apartment is. This resident did the walk through at move in and did not note the damage to the countertop. We thoroughly prepare our apartments here for re-rental, so it is unlikely that we overlooked such a deep cut in the counter. Unfortunately this resident wants to claim, after move-out, that she had additional damages on her move-in day. She received a refund of her deposit minus this $50 and her final water bill. We feel we were fair with her.
