Camden is a very mixed bag...the communication between office staff and maintenance is very lacking. I could never pinpoint who was slacking; the maint. or office. Whenever we would call in a problem-it would never get done, untill at least the third or fourth time. There are many cosmetic features lacking, as far as poor paint jobs, stained ceilings from past leaks, but the ceiling never got repainted. The walls are definitely paper thin-I have lived in apartments for ten years, and never been able to hear quite so much about my neighbors. The range top on our stove was pathetic-the burners were always slanted at a 30 degree angle, and the oven always cooked at 100 degrees higher than what it was set at-which made cooking fun. Having said all that, the whole reason I picked the place was because of it's almost nature-reserve quality. The landscaping was awesome. It is very unusual to find such well-maintaned grounds at lower-end (price-wise) complex. The numerous ponds w/all the birds and such were beautiful. Again, weigh the pros and cons.
