Not as bad as these reviews make it seem

Okay, this is more a rebuttal to the negative postings I've read in regards to this complex. I have lived here for almost a year and a half and here is my honest take on it:
Pros: Pet friendly (dogs and cats welcome), nice landscaping w/ponds and the ducks, office staff has always been pleasant to me and cut me a break when I truly forgot to pay my rent on time (figures it was sitting on the fridge for a week too!). There is plenty of parking. There are tons of laundry facilities - I think 6 on the premises with at least 10 washers and dryers in each, 2 pools, tennis courts, basketball court, and a gym too. I don't use it and hear it's so so but it's there. Maintenece has always come out for my requests. I also NEVER hear my neighbors, and they both have dogs too so I think that is saying something. Rent was pretty cheap when I moved in, it's gone up a little bit but still really reasonable. The apartments are spacious. My apartment has a lot of storage space. They recently added storage units, too.
Negatives: About cars getting boken into, let's be honest, this is St. Pete. It happens in the best neighborhoods in Pinellas County. The ants are a pain (I've had the people come out 3 times since I moved in) and I've seen 3 Palmetto bugs. Again, that's just part of living in Florida. Deal with it. Lastly, kitchen appliances are a little old, but that's because the complex is 20 years old. Despite that, they work fine.
Look, it's not the Ritz or on a golf course or anything, but for what it is, it's not bad at all. A great starter apartment for me thus far. Hope it helps!
