You don't want to live here...

Okay, I don't know where to begin, so I'm just going to list the things I've seen and the problems I've had while living here: Cars broken into and stolen (my first year, seeing the St. Pete police crime lab truck here was a common occurence), a neighbor shot and killed in the parking lot just outside my door (May '05), large groups of children walking around unsupervised, vandalizing cars, landscaping, pools, breezeways, etc.; loud neighbors who show no courtesy or respect for their neighbors (cars playing their stereos so loud in the parking lot that it rattles the windows, constant arguing and yelling by neighbors), and, well, lots of other small problems that other people in other reviews, such as dryers that don't work and are never fixed, security lights out for months at a time, dirty breezeways, dog crap everywhere.
Worst of all is the managments complete and total lack of concern about any of these problems. They refuse to return phone calls and if you go to the office, they are either too busy or will get back to you or will do "something" about the problem but they never do. They seem most concerned in suckering other people into moving in so that they then can then ignore them. Security (when they are here) follows their lead and seems highly bothered when called. In the semi-regular newsletter, it says that everyone here can help make this a better community, but when a person tries to point out problems or work with the office, they are ignored. So, what to do'
Having re-read all of the above, it sounds to me like I'm just another dissatified, grump looking to complain about anything. I'm not. I've lived all over the U.S. in lots of apts.. I've never, ever seen people act and live like they do here - or - dealt w/ a management staff so unwilling to keep their residence happy and so uncaring about the problems their apathy brings. The rent is cheap b/c they have to fill all the apts. of the people who left disgusted after one year. I'm only still here b/c, foolishly, I keep believing things will get better. I really don't think they will and urge any prospective apt. seekers to look anywhere else.

I've lived here since May '06 and have not experienced any of what this reviewer talks about. Noise from the upstairs neighbor (due to thin walls/ceilings) is the only problem. The grounds are VERY well kept, the laundry machines are almost all, always working and fixed promptly if not. Do we live in the same place?

This guy is totally whacked; everything he said is crap. True about the SPPD crime scene van, the guy lived here, dummy!
All else is a figment of his warped imagination. We have NEVER had a murder here and in the seven years I have lived here, only one car stolen and NO gangs of kids, as the responder above said, this is an adult community--NO KIDS are allowed here! Check your medications pal, they need to be adjusted.

The review gave me pause. I have to move soon and even though written in '05 (?), I will look further for awhile.
