I have lived here for 4 years now. When we moved in the place had been recently painted on the outside and appeared okay. The inside was improperly cleaned when I moved in and I had to do everything myself. The paint on the countertops in both the kitchen and bathroom were peeling and to this day have never been repaired though many work orders were put in. There is nothing but dirt outside, the grass is dead. My carpet in the children's room smelled like cat spray when I moved in and STILL does. The office attendants are deplorable and always appear to be high. One of the girls there even stole theme park tickets from me. We have visited the pool with our children in the evening and caught teenagers having sex, even though the video cameras are supposedly in working order. There are bugs everywhere and rats on the roof that come down the gutters. My porch floods and the paint is peeling there too. The palm tree outside of our daughter's window became so overgrown without trimming that it broke in through her window and came so far into the bedroom that it almost touched her closet. Not only that, about a month before that a baseball was thrown into it, she could've been killed! They complained that my kitchen curtains didn't match the exterior of the building and that if I did not relace them that I wasn't allowed to open my blinds. Which in turn, would raise my already extremely high electricity bill to over $300 for my two bedroom. The air conditioning doesn't work at all in the second room, and they refuse to do anything about it or allow me to install a window unit. The maintenance absolutely sucks. The man let out my birds, smoked a cigar in my apartment, left a god awful mess for me to clean up on numerous occasions including one that left me to clean up five layers of old linoleum, broken tile, fecal matter, and urine from a toilet that had to be replaced. We have four drug dealers in our building as well as coke/crack/meth heads, strippers and the like who throw parties and have a plethora of junky friends that offer drugs to the neighboring 14 and 15 year olds. There is nowhere for the children to play, not that you'd want them outdoors here. My 3 year old found a .22 shell from a gun downstairs near our elevator. There is no curfew, which allows the teens ample time to sell their own drugs, vandalize the buildings and vehicles. We have heard of four cars on seperate occassions being stolen from our parking lot. The lot floods so badly during rainy season that our car was completely destroyed, not only that, they have the area gated off so that you HAVE to go through the flood waters to park. There are gang members, real genuine gang members now living there that carry large metal poles through the parking lot at 3am! Peeling paint everywhere (probably with lead being that it was built in the early 70s. The elevators constantly smell of urine, if the urine is not still standing in puddles anyway, the paneling is always ripped down from the ceiling inside, and the buttons are never in working order. Sometimes there has even been loogies actually dried onto every button so that you cannot use the elevator, or they stop it on the third floor which sucks when you have a double stroller. Someone stole my peephole out of the door so that you could see directly inside, no telling how long it was gone before I realized since the inside part was still there. The exterior of my door has been torn up by someone apparently kicking it and trying to pry the door open to the left of the deadbolt. The lights outside are frequently punched out leaving shattered glass everywhere. Shopping carts and trash litter the floors and parking lots, it's incredibly loud, you get other people's notices on your door. I even had someone's eviction notice, and I was scared to death! They then tried to bribe me with candy! We get yelled at for other peoples cigarette butts, even told we had to pay $25 a piece for the butts the next time they found one...I don't even smoke! Crackheads wander around at night fist fighting with their lovers, there are ten child molesters nearby, including five child rapists as according to the FDLE website. One of which was actually living in the complex! This from people that supposedly do background checks. I have had a stalker, had people steal my laundry out of the washing machine, and the people they let in are the scuzziest human beings I have ever met. They raise the rent like crazy, don't include any utilities, and refuse to insulate the apartment. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND RUN AWAY AS FAST AS YOUR LEGS CAN CARRY YOU!
