I work in Tampa but can't afford to live in the really nice areaas and wouldn't dare to live in the bad areas so I decided to check out St. Pete. I saw many apartment communities in both north and south St. Pete. North St. Pete was so- so and I had heard that south St. Pete was "a bad area". Well I cruised down 275 and got off at exit 17..saw a few places down 54th then I found Spring Lake Villages and Flagler Pointe. Spring Lake was pretty but they are a really small community and they are jacked up next to a ghetto community that has share a drive..blahhh. Then Flagler was the last place I went and what a relief..older community but immediately when I walked in the office I was greeted by smiling faces...and let me tell you I needed it...most of the other places were really rude and I was lucky if I got a brochure. I really like the community, I am now surrounded by nice homes and I can walk to the water and see the Sunshine Skyway..very cool. For someone like me who is used to snow and smog..I feel like I am in heaven. Moved into Flagler about 6 months ago..I have had a few maintenance problems but they were fixed within a few days. Couple of loud college kids live next door but I called and complained to management and I have not heard a peep since.....I read a few nasty things on this site but I guess it is the luck of the draw. I am happy to be here and intend to stay a while...no more snow and no more noisey city nights....
