I have lived here for almost three years now and am leaving solely because I cannot afford to continue renting here. I am aware that it is customary these days to increase rent at lease renewal time, but this complex (or management company) has had the most astronomical increses that I have seen in my 20 years as a renter. I have lived in communities in the past that actually rewarded long-time tenants that always pay rent on time and do not get complaints by NOT increasing their rent......those days are certainly gone. The allure of a very small deposit and a "move-in special" concession is what got me to sign the lease originally, don't I feel like the fool 3 years later. Not any more as I am moving ASAP....but not before getting raped financially because my notice was shy of the 60 day mark. God forbid I should want to better my life by purchasing a home....who can afford it after living here for any length of time. After having read several of the other reviews, I must agree with several complaints.....thin walls/no insulation is a BIG problem, the "security" gates only work about half of the time, lack of building/grounds upkeep by the mgmt./maint. staff (seems like they are blind), lack of response or repeated trips needed to repair maintenance issues. My neighbors have always been great and I can live with the loud music from the cars occasionally (this is, after all, an apartment community) I just have a HUGE issue with the rent increases and the lack of ANY form of consideration from management.
