I can't believe it! I lived in this place last year, and my rent as of when I moved out, ( 1 year ago last month ) was $985.00 for the 2/2 I lived in. It was only a lease for one year, it wasn't that I had a lower rate beacause I had lived there for a long time or anything, so that had to be about the going rate then. I was thinking of moving back to the gateway area (not that I'd EVER consider this place again ) and looked up prices for this place just to compare to others, only to find the BIGGEST rent increase I've ever seen in such a short time period! I can't believe that those 2/2 aparments have gone up that high! Alomost $500 more per MONTH in one years time''' WTF! This place is you average apartment community...nothing special. If you compared it to other communitites in this area, you will find they are very small units, not to mention they're older too. There are MANY other places right in this area where you can get an almost brand new apartment that is MUCH larger and newer for a couple hundred dollars LESS per month! I still speak to my old neighbors there from time to time, and they said everyone who has lived there for longer periods is just outraged about such a drastic rent increase. Could you imagine moving into a place thinking this is it, I don't have to move for a while, and 1 year later your rent gets jacked up hundreds of dollars on you' A rent increase of like $25-$50 for a new lease term is normal...my one ex neighbor's rent went up $250! Can you believe that' The people running that place have to be totaly crazy! They must really think what they've got! Either that or they are just about the greediest people going. They have to know what they are trying to sell isn't worth the cost! Be smart....keep looking! Many places around way nicer, and more reasonably priced. Not too mention from what I remeber their staff isn't so great either...people in the office were always full of attitude and sarcasm, maintenance was exremely slow. NOT WORTH the asking price!

You must be the one they asked to leave the property. The staff is always pleasant and the maintenance crew is always on top of everything and I never have to wait for anything. Get a grip.... the condo conversions have set the market rate for everyone in this area. You should do some research before you open your mouth and look stupid. You write with anger....its obvious.

kalliecu must be working for Isles of Gateway...it's obvious. None of you people realize that your places are overvalued. A 1/1 apartment in a region with an average salary of $31k should only cost $500 a month.

i also agree 100%. way to expensive. there seems to be other places in the gateway area that offer similar apartments for less despite the whole condo conversion things going on. and that's the office people who wrote comments telling people that they look stupid? very "professional".

I agree totally with petrodollar. kalliecu definately must be someone working for the isles of gateway. I've been reading these posts for like 2 years now, and everytime someone has a somewhat negative opinion about something, they blame a tenant they asked to leave or something. Did it ever occur to you that maybe there really are a bunch of people here who regret chosing this place for whatever reason? people like kalliecu need to "get a grip" Everyone is entitled to have their own opinion! I myslef have been living here for 3 and a half years now, and I'm with the original poster.. This rent increase isn't worth it to live here! No one looks stupid for saying it's too much even in this area! Maybe you look stupid for asking that much!
