Not Terrible, Especially for the price & Area

I've lived here for about 2 years now. I don't think it's nearly as bad as a lot of the people on here seem to think. I've definitely had my share of on going maintenance issues, though: cabinet hinges are not the right kind so the doors constantly fall off (we've given up on one of them & are going sans door!), the water pressure in the kitchen is increasingly low & sputters a lot when turned on, the bottom shelf in the door of my fridge has broken several times- causing all of my condiments, etc. to go all over the place when the door is opened (they tried fixing this with crazy glue, it obviously hasn't worked) & the garbage disposal backs up frequently. In addition, when I moved in and did the initial walk through, the lock on the front door was ridiculously hard to unlock. This has been replaced by yet another knob/lock that does the same thing. My key always gets stuck in it. It really sucks when you come home at 2am. & you can't close your door because you're struggling to get your key out for 20 mins.
The maintenance people, while very nice, are really hard to understand & have a hard time understanding you. They also don't really seem to know what they're doing. They'll tell you they'll order something to fix whatever it is & you'll never hear from them again. The people in the office are also very nice & seem to be pretty helpful, as much as they can be.
I've never had a problem with any of my neighbors, although the quality of new tennants moving in does seem to be decreasing rapidly. As of yet, I don't feel any less safe here than I would anywhere alone at night.
There are 2 pools, both kinda small in comparison to alot of other complexes in the area, a new clubhouse (which you apparently can't rent out...) & a small fitness center that just recently finally got a tv. No weight bench even though there are free weights, kinda odd, but whetever.
All in all, it was a great apartments for my first time moving out without a roomate but when the lease is up in Nov. we're getting out (my boyfriend moved in about ayear ago). 2 years ago it was, by far, the best place for the price in this area (which is normally pretty pricey) but I've found many other comparable (if not nicer) complexes in the area in the past few weeks. It was good while it lasted but I expect the rent to continue to go up & the complex to continue going downhill.
I would only reccomend it to someone looking for a basic, cheap apartment (great starter apt) who doesn't mind dealing with some maintenance problems on a regualr basis. Or if you're just looking for a place for a year or so. All this could just be my apt. too, who knows...
