I lived in Westport Colony and Inlet Bay both in North St. Pete, they sucked! I was only at Lincoln Shores for 6 months b/c we got a house and in that time it wasn't bad. The only thing was when we moved out it was early and they didn't help in renting the place early so we wouldn't have to pay rent and not live there but I guess they needed the money.

There were two shootings in the front of the complex while I lived there but I lived in the back and never had any problems. Office staff was friendly and the rent was pretty cheap. I had some junk car left abandoned in front of my building and when I complained they had it towed THAT day. Not too shabby and not too bad a place as apartments go.

My thoughts are 2 shootings and an abandoned car, in six months? --would these be problems in a gated community --with the front gate working? --with a better class of tenants? In the 8 months I have lived here, the front gate has been stuck open for about 4 of them and even when working people let other people through them. A better system (like a real guard) needs to be used with the traffic in and out of here. Shootings? That says to me they really need to be a bit more exclusive about who they rent to--maybe those rents are too cheap? As for abandoned cars--there was a car in my parking area that sat on jacks for 6 months, the jacks actually sunk into the pavement. If they were really policing their premises that car would have been towed a lot sooner than it was.
