Strike 3: Homicide

As if this place isn't trashy enough, there has just been a homicide here as well (12/29/07). Let's not forget to mention the forensics van I saw here a few months ago on a different occasion (around the start of October). This place is trashy on top of trashy!!!!!! So, we'll start with the trash. If you're afraid of a pack of raccoons, don't take out your trash out past dusk. People will pile their trash outside the dumpster since it seems that the dumpster never works or is always overflowing. Then, the raccoons freely rip into the trash bags on the ground and scatter the trash everywhere. When the dumpster is picked up and emptied, it still doesn't look much better. I don't think the office will ever fix this problem. I know that many people have complained. The office staff don't care about this place, its grounds, or its residents at all. Some of the apartments have been remodeled inside, so if your unfortunate enough to rent here, do try to at least get a remodeled apartment. The old ones look even more trashy and dirty! We were about to be rented an apartment with broken tiles and torn wood under the kitchen cabinets. We switched to a remodeled unit, but the tubs were still the original ones and in the master bath, you can see rust stains everywhere on the bottom of a tan colored tub. The *manager* of the complex also saw it and immediately said that she would have the tub resurfaced. Well, after we moved in it was all of a sudden too expensive to resurface the tub. Now, I have the pleasure of looking into a stained tub every time. Also, the tiles in the stand up shower are dirt stained. But, it's too expensive to fix even though this is supposed to be a "remodeled" unit. Not only has the interior of the apartment dirty and filthy (we're very clean people... we clean the place often and it's still disgusting), but the grounds have been neglected. The outside of the buildings need to be repainted. The paint is fading on the exterior and is also chipping off. Many of the blinds in the windows that can be seen from the outside of the apartment are bent or broken. The paint on the stairwells is also chipping off (there are 36 steps up to the 3rd floor). The grounds are trashy looking as well. The people who work here have apparently never heard of putting down new mulch. The only grass areas are where dogs use the restroom, and people neglect to clean up after their animals. There is no such thing as landscaping here. The plants look like weeds and where there was once mulch it's basically dirt now. There is not place to walk around here. All the corners in the complex are blind corners. So, pedestrians watch out for speeding cars who cannot see you; cars watch out for other cars who cannot see you. To walk our dog, we've got to walk out of the complex. Also, there are vents on the outside of each apartment. Therefore, I'm tired of being able to smell people's laundry when I walk out of my apartment. Also, we have kids below us whose parents must feel that it is their responsibility to let their children show off their creative talents with chalk on the walls of the buildings and on the ground. As far as I know, the office has done nothing about this. The only good thing is the 3rd floor is quiet and it's close to the interstate. Besides the interstate, there is nothing in this area besides Publix. Everything else is very inconvenient. I could continue on about my high level of dissatisfaction with this s**t hole including the $1300 a month rent for a 2/2, but I'll leave the reader with the main points. DO NOT RENT HERE!!!! Keep looking! We found out about all this after it was too late. I don't know who would be pleased with this place. Go find yourself a nice, new town home to rent for as much as you'll pay for this dump!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AD2Hw9Wn8Umb3NN1w1jt
