When we moved in, we noticed the raccoons around the dumpster. NOW, they are taking over the place. I drove around the other night and counted close to 20 of them. Climbing trees, running under cars, ripping apart garbage, keeping me from getting out of my car, etc. There were 4 right by where I walk up to my apartment. It is terrible. They are nasty, nasty creatures. I work late at night, and my boyfriend goes to work when it's still dark out in the morning... so we are lucky enough to experience these gross scavengers everyday.

I live in Promenade, and I also deal with the raccoons nightly, as I get home quite late as well. I've never had a problem with them, they run if you clap your hands and make noise to discourage them. We are essentially living on a nature preserve of sorts, this apartment complex was built right where all of these creatures live. I wouldn't expect it to be different. There are plenty of other condos, homes and apartments to live in where there are no wild animals to be sharing the land with, perhaps that would be a better choice for people who are nervous around wildlife.
