BEWARE - APARTMENTS FULL OF RODENTS

If you like having rats and squirrels in your apartment you'll love it at Promenade. We had a squirrel inside our apartments walls and it took a week for the management to get it out of the wall after it died. The maintenance crew was useless. My husband ended up knocking down the drywall, cleaning up the area and putting up new drywall. It took another week to get the smell out.
Now, a few weeks later, we have rats in the ceiling of our apartment. It's a nightmare. Today they pulled out 3 dead rats and there are still more in the apartment's ceiling. They've set traps, but don't know where the rats are coming from and don't know how to resolve the problem.
This is not an inexpensive apartment complex - we pay a fortune for the privilege of living with rodents.

Okay, so the original post does seem to be a little, how do you say this, made up? So your husbanf just busted a wall down and you didn't get in trouble? And here's the thing about squirrels, they dont enjoy tight spaces like in between walls. If it did happen to get in there somehow, it was a mistake, and he was trying to get out. Like if you fell in a hole. You'd want out too.
And about the response. How did the rat get in? Was there a huge hole in the wall? How long was the unit vacant. Now Im sure that when you read this, it must have got in from under the sink. Or mayabe an open window. This is seems to be a post from another complex close by in attempt to scare people away from this place. Nice try.

Rats live in walls and celings even in Beverly Hills. Contact management and they will hire a pest control specialist to take care of it...but it will not happen overnight...this is a normal problem anywhere believe it or not. What is important is that you have every instance documented and if management doesn't address it then escalate it. If Orkin or another company comes by be sure to get the techs name and time they arrived. Most apartment management companies will take care of it...it just never happens as fast as we would all like it to becuase that's life.
