Critters and whatnot

I have been a resident of Promenade for nearly 2 years now, and I have truly loved living here! I feel that my maintenance needs have been met quickly, and my issues resolved. The grass and flower/plant areas are well tended to, there are lots of trees here- which I love!! The office staff is ok, average. No major positives or negatives... I think that there could be better lighting for the parking area in the evening, otherwise I never have a problem finding a spot. Please keep in mind that this is a nature preserve, and as one would expect, there is an abundance of wildlife here. If you are uncomfortable with squirrels, possums, raccoons and so on, please look for another place to live. I happen to think that they are great, and a beautiful part of nature. My only real complaint about living at Promenade, is that instead of finding a creative solution to deterring critters from the area that humans frequent, the management has them trapped and KILLED. I find this abhorrent , sad and disgusting. There are other, better methods, but I feel as though the 'quick fix' has been employed, and I am sorely disappointed in this. I don't work for Promenade. I'm not a vegetarian. I am a normal, decent, compassionate citizen of the world, and I expect better. As far as the apartments are concerned, I've read all of the other reviews. Of course there mold, bugs, rodents, leaks and YES, my goodness a murder! I challenge anyone to find a neighborhood in FL that does not have all of the same complaints. This place is over 15 years old, and it was built in a marshy, swampy area- hello! For the complainers, get over it!
Take a good look at the rest of the world, then reevaluate your 'horrible' living conditions. Be grateful for what you have.
