Don't judge a complex by its rental office

I was taken in by the newly renovated rental office, but the actual apartments leave much to be desired. It looks as if the only things that were replaced in the units were the windows, and the kitchen and bathrooms have very old cabinets and appliances.
Because this place accepts dogs, it took me a month to get the smell out of the carpet, and I can't walk in the grass to get to my car because of all the "poo". The walls are too thin, and at night, I can hear my neighbors above me walk around while I am trying to sleep, and when they are not suffering from restless leg syndrome, I can hear them having sex.
I've only been here for a month, but I am ready to ask the rental office what the terms are for breaking my lease. In addition, the apartment is vey small and as I explained in the last paragraph, the walls are way too thin. It's a shame because this complex is only 15 minutes away from my job.
