Quality and Service Plummet Since Ownership Change

Like many of the other reviews of West Port Colony, I agree that quality and service have drastically plummetted since ING bought this complex. They severely cut back pest control to save on cost, and I have seen spiders, ants, roaches and silverfish all over my apartment including crawling up the bathroom walls. Gross. The security gates have not been fixed in over 6 months and have been left open leaving the parking lot open to car theft and vandalism. Also, maintenance is horrible. I had to call six times and make an in-person visit to the office, and my problems were STILL never addressed. The new office staff lacks professionalism and customer service skills. They are downright rude to residents and never take the time to listen to concerns. The only office staff that actually care about the residents and treat them with respect and courtesy are the staff that used to work in this complex when Greystar owned it and were hired by the new company to stay on. Ironic' This was a great place to live when Greystar owned it, and I wished I had moved when they sold it because it has not been worth it to live here ever since. Also, be weary of the workers that have been hired to fix the exterior of the complex. I heard my secnod floor balcony door open one day and went to investigate. I found that one of the workers had climbed up onto my balcony and had opened the door into my apartment. Thank Goodness I wasn't the only one home. I was glad I was home, however, because I shudder to think what I could have lost if he had entered my apartment when no one was there! Oh, and did I mention the government-subsidized housing next door' Yes, the Wyngate Apartments are low-income housing, but West POrt Colony will never tell you that before you move in. Be weary of the type of clientele that live at Wyngate. The residents of the Wyngate are always using the West Port Colony pool and our office does nothing to prevent it. And speaking of the pool....the jacuzzi has been broken for almost a year now and despite repeated complaints, again, management does nothing about it. In summary, steer clear of West Port Colony, Bridgewater Place and any other apartment complexes that ING owns. This financial management company sure does try to save on its finances at the expense of its residents.

I am not a resident of your complex, West Port COlony, I am a resident of this "horrible low income housing", Wyngate Apartments that the people on this website complain about Wyngate Apartments....let me tell you I have a sister that lives in West Port Colony, in the 6 months she has lived there 6 cars have been broken into that i have WITNESSED, her brand new car was stolen right out of the complex, and her neighbors, out of all of the apartments in her building only one aside of my sister, seems as though they just came from a half way house...oh and to mention a little something about the gates, ours over here at the "low income housing" have always worked since I have lived here...haven't heard of anyone stealing our cars or breaking into them..so to sum it up...shouldn't judge a book by it's cover, open the front page and read a little...it doesn't matter where you live, it's who you live around...so maybe when your lease is up you should look into Wyngate... so far I would chose my complex over West Port Colony any day!!

I also live in Wyngate. It is NOT Government subsidized housing! It is however, BRAND NEW! I have never had to complain about anything! I don't have any bug problems. My car is just fine. Wyngate is one of the cleanest apartment complexes in the area and it is always professionally maintained! And, I would much rather live in Wyngate than West Port Colony any day!!

Wyngate is goverment subsidized housing that is why there are income restrictions for potential residents.

Wyngate is an IRS audited income restricted property. It is not a government subsidized HUD property. Please note that there is a difference.
