I've been a renter at WPC for 4 years. In that time period I think ths property has gone through 2 maybe even 3 property management companies. I must say, that in the past we (my boyfriend and I) were less than thrilled with the changes. Each time we had a problem, we had a whole new team of people to talk to and try to explain it. However, since Gables took over and replaced the staff in the leasing office things are looking brighter! The new property manager is actively trying to make this a better place to call home. I had doubts about signing another 12 month lease, but I made some time to talk to the manager and wanted him to understand what previous management neglected to do, which was take care of their tenants. He offered an apology for the past and vowed to make it right. And he wasn't kidding! Within a week or two of discussing what needed to be fixed or replaced in our unit things were taken care of. Gables seems to care about their tenants! That's the difference between them and prior management companies. I personally have seen a difference in the office as far as attitude with the staff. they seem happy to be at work. And that makes a world of difference when you need to talk to them about something. And the fact that they know you by name and can remember why you were in there 3 weeks ago..."and is everything still ok since maintenance went in'" question when you least expect it is wonderful. It's silly to expect a change overnight. But I honestly feel that the new staff is going to make WPC a place where you want to live. And believe me I'm a pretty tough critic!

Again the office wrote this they are told to do this. this place is the worst place to live at STAY AWAY.....

I am not from Florida but will be moving to theh area next month. West Port Colony is one of the places I've been researching. Would you still recommend living there?
