My boyfriend and I moved into the A3, 782 square foot place in October. We were originally planning on moving into a smaller one but we happened to catch a deal that actually made the bigger one cheaper. We have had a hand full of probelms, mostly small ones, which the maintenance guys came in and fixed in relatively good time. Appliances and cabinets are pretty old, but not bad for a place that's been standing for over 20 years. Our experiences with the office staff has been mostly pleasant. The woman who did our paper work was extremely nice!
The property itself is kept up very well. There's never any garbage laying around in grass or parking lot. The plants and flowers make the place feel very tropical. My boyfriend and I fish in the lake and have had pretty good luck catching bass.
Parking in our area is fairly easy, although the front parts of the complex seem much more full. The only complaints I have there is that the trees and reclaimed water sprinklers that are poorly aimed make it impossible to keep a clean car.
Our apartment must be sealed pretty well because we do not have to run the air conditioner very often. And after installing some flourescent bulbs and water saver shower heads, our water and electric bills are never very high.
Other tenants here are mostly tolerable, although not completely friendly. There are a lot of young people who are sometimes loud and obnoxious (slamming doors, yelling, etc... I'm only 20 and I know better!). Walls and floors seem to be pretty thin, can't use a subwoofer at all, but we can only sometimes hear the people above us if they are running around or something.
Overall we have been pleased to call West Port Colony home and plan on staying another year if our rent stays the same.
