So Glad to Be Leaving....

Years at this apartment: 2008 - 2009
I have lived at WPC for a little over a year. I have never been more happy to be moving out of a place. To start, we are experiencing a bad bug problem that nothing seems to be fixing. Multiple bug bombing, sprayings, complete cleaning from top to bottom, etc. I'm having to inspect everything I pack to make sure none of them tag along. I don't think it is an issue that can be solved short of burning the building down... Also, don't count on maintenance. When we moved in, we filled out the form of items that needed fixing, and NONE of them are done. The railing on our stairs were broke, and we reported it, and it was fixed... 6 MONTHS LATER. And on top of that, the railings are starting to fall apart again. Cabinets and fixtures in the non-upgraded apartments are cheap and falling apart. If you want an apartment with stuff that isn't falling apart, be prepared to pay more rent. Parking is adequate, although there have been a couple of cars that are wrecked or not running parked in some of the spots closer to the building for the past month (regardless of what the lease says about non-running cars). There is a blackout in the back of the property every few months, and I do agree with other people's posting about some newer residents. They are getting a little shadier... The staff vacillates between nice and snotty.
Overall, the rent is too much for what you get. If you can manage it, rent somewhere else.
