Not everything is management's fault

I lived at Porto Bellagio. Although there are some things left to be desired like dog wastes and broken elevators, there are people who live here that don't abide by the rules either. How about tailgating another vehicle because they don't want to pay for an extra clicker. People tend to have parties to the wee hours of the morning. There is a noise ordinance for the City of Sunny Isles. The time that it took for everyone to see people coming unto the property, the cops could have been called. I noticed everyone wants to remain anonymous as well.

It is true that not every negative aspect of Porto Bellagio is management's fault. However, management does have both the resources and the authority to solve the problems you've outlined here. They merely lack the resolve to do so. If security took a proactive approach and coordinated with the Sunny Isles police to intervene in an effective manner when noise issues arise, and if management followed up with a monetary penalty that effectively discouraged residents from causing such disturbances, this would not happen anywhere near as often as it does. As for tailgating, everyone who pays for parking has an assigned space. When someone tailgates another resident to avoid paying for a space, they end up parking an unauthorized car in an unauthorized space. This means that it can easily be determined at any given time whether or not a car is supposed to be in the garage. If security regularly performed a sweep of the garage (they should do this anyway--that's one of the things we pay them for), and had the unauthorized vehicles towed, it wouldn't take long before it became a lot cheaper for deadbeats to just pay for a space like everyone else. Neither of the solutions that I've cited above are complicated, and neither of them require resources that management doesn't already have at their disposal. All these solutions require is a willingness to do a good job. Management's failure to respond to such problems effectively--or even with a minimal level of consistency--are why they lose the respect of nearly every person who lives at Porto Bellagio. |
