The management office--Property Manager Lisa Gray in particular--suffers from a culture that views residents of Porto Belagio not as the customers who pay their salary, but as children who must be shoved into a corner and silenced when they demand that management do their jobs.

My laundry list of things the management office could care less about:

* There is no recycling. There used to be recycling, but it was quietly removed sometime during the last month. When I asked why the recycle bins were no longer there, I was informed that some people were throwing garbage into them. Rather than posting a sign or sending a letter asking residents to dispose of their garbage properly, management simply decided to do away with recycling all together.

* They will charge you for things that you should get for free. Are you buying a couch' Well, bend over and prepare to fork over $100 for the right to move it into your apartment.

* Things in the common areas break often, but are rarely fixed within a reasonable amount of time. When residents inform management that something in a common area is broken, they are more apt to scold said resident for allowing the damage to occur than they are to inform them of how they intend to solve the problem. Apparently, it is beyond management's realm of understanding that the person who informs them of damage isn't necessarily the person who caused it.

* When I moved in, I was told that the lap pool was "almost" finished. It is more than a year later, and it is still not done. I have asked the management office to explain the delay, as have several of my neighbors. None of us have gotten the same answer twice. It's like they're just making it all up on the spot.

* Parking area is not secure. The gate has never gone more than a week without being broken, yet rather than replacing it with something reliable, they choose to wait days for a repair man to show up every single time.

* Residents are never informed advance of when the fire alarms will be tested. We are simply left to hear the fire alarm every five minutes for several hours on the day it happens.

* The security guards regularly fall asleep on the job. The last time we had a problem with noisy neighbors, we called security, and got no answer. So we called the Sunny Isles police instead. The cop who they dispatched called us shortly after and informed us that he couldn't get into the building BECAUSE THE SECURITY GUARD WAS ASLEEP ON THE DESK.

As a long time resident, these are only the tip of the iceberg. Unfortunately, management is running this complex into the ground.

I definitely can vouch for these complaints about the mgmt especially about Lisa Grey... and other things that go around here at PB One major thing.. are the mailboxes that are not secure.. I have found the last section completely open.(20 mailboxes including mine). complained to mgmt. and their response was.. rude.. "Get a mailbox at the post office.. " No, I said. to them. it is illegal to have unsecure mailboxes.. Mgmt replied with a stupid comment Anyway,, this place is going down here.. Residents here slam their doors.. and the whole bldg shakes..I can go on and on... If you are considering on moving in.. think twice... A football arena.. is better
