My family and I are undecided about moving to The Palms. We have already put down the application and administrative fees for an apartment that was supposedly available and yet we were disillusioned when we were informed that it wasn't. We have read all the reviews and we have mixed feelings. We agree that the staff is very polite and that the surroundings are very nice. Also, coming from an apartment complex ourselves, we understand that there are neighbor, maintenance, commodity and security issues but that is found everywhere. Our concern is that we feel tricked into putting down hard earned money for something that was, as I wrote before, available and all of a sudden it's not. We don't want to have to go looking for another place because we've gone everywhere else and this one offered the best location, deal and accomodations we need. But, we are dissapointed with the situation and we feel like our hands are tied and cannot do anything else, but either get our non-refundable fees back or wait, wait and wait until one becomes available. We look forward to the feedback of those who have something smart to say that may help us to look at this as something that will turn out for the best.

What size apartment are you waiting on? I know that there is plenty of available units!

Yes, we were there today, and about to put money down on an "open" apartment. But when asked to see it again someone else was moving into it. Coincidence?? Just weird. Overall looked at many places out west in Broward. Beware. All seem to use the same bait and switch and other used car sales tactics. Ads look great and then it's a ghetto when you show up. Still looking :) Best of luck to ya.
