NOT for us

Due to relocation of work office (250 miles) we were in a position to find an apartment or home to accomadate our needs for a one year lease. We came to the Palms, viewed the grounds on a tour and chose to rent here. We did all paperwork, gave a check for deposit, rent, etc. and have decided to back of the deal as on our walk through for pre move in, it is aparant this is not the place for us.
First problem: Remmy in the office gave us a discounted deposit, prorated rent, etc. A day or so later we find out that we did not get the deal that was discussed and agreed upon. They do not uphold the deals they make.
Second Problem: On the way to our apartment in the golf cart a lady was SCREAMING at the property employee. Someone had booted her car, and she was furious. She had MANY unpleasant things to say about the property.
Third Problem: When we entered the apartment, the walls were " spot painted" and their was still dirty areas, dead roaches as well as alive roaches, and many below average problems with the whole apartment- which was supposed to be an upgraded unit.
Fourth Problem: While we were there the music coming from the apartment below ours was so LOUD that it vibrated the walls. This is unexceptable in my book. When you pay what they charge to live somewhere, you should NOT have to feel like your in the ghetto. DO the other people work'''
Fifth Problem: Parking is atrocious. After five PM there is virtually no where to park. This after having to pay per vehicle to park there.
Needless to say, after careful consideration of all events, we drove back there (250 miles) and told them "THANKS, BUT NO THANKS" the one good thing I can say is that the office staff did not balk too much and did give all moneys back. It had been less than 72 hours, therefore they allowed an "OUT" claus in the lease. THANK GOD!!!

Lucky that you were able to back out...some of us are stuck living here! Conditions are getting worst by the day, no control of the loud kids, no control over the barking pets and their poop, no control over the loud neighbors and other noises like loud music into the early morning hours, no control of the excess garbage, no control over the parking issues and now roaches!!!

let me ad to this...I live here for 3 years and (thank goodness) I moved. I befriended a young kid up on the 3rd floor...he later told me that he was a drug dealer and the manager, Frank, along with 3 other associates, remmy (sales) and Mike (maintenance) would always buy cocaine from him.
