I lived at the Village at Welleby Park for 2 1/2 years, When I first moved in - it was great, we had a super property manager that really cared. After he left the place went downhill fast, things were getting stolen from patios, POLICE were in and out of the complex, the gate never works and when it does people smash into it!!
We felt very unsafe living here, then the rumor was that section 8 was starting to move in and move in fast!
THE PRICES ARE EXPENSIVE!
I wouldnt mind if this was first class but who wants to pay $1300-$1500 dollars a month for crap''''''
Also I must mention that upon your move out - YOU WILL BE CHARGED $350 for repainting of your towmhouse EVEN if it is in good condition. When they are done with you you wont have any deposit back!
There were also some PITBULLS as pets in complex
Also most of the managing staff on currently DONT CARE ABOUT THE TENANTS
If you are looking in Sunrise - look somewhere else - DO YOURSELF A FAVOR!

Before you post untruths you should really check out your information. With the internet there is NO excuse not to. I went online to check out Section 8 (HUD) housing and this complex DOES NOT HAVE any section 8 living in it.
What you apparently do not know, nor took the time to find out, HUD does not let section 8 tenants move just anywhere. There is specific housing that they have for assisted income. Think about it from a logical point of view. A landlord may be guaranteed that rent will be paid if a tenant IS section 8, but don't you think that the government has a cap on the amount of rent that they will pay. They are certainly not going to let someone live in a 3 bedroom apartment for $1400 a month if they can find a cheaper one for say $900.
All I am saying is do your homework. And just because someone is low class does not mean that they are section 8. I know plenty of people that would be considered very wealthy but live like pigs and don't have an once of class.

My Neighbors when I lived there told me they were SECTION 8. Everything that was stated was true and thats why you are not full anymore - I hope to see an investigation on how the money is handled when people move out, IF ANYONE IS READING THIS MOVE OUT FAST!!!

It is totally true about the deposits. They kept most of mine for absolutely no reason. THat place was spotless I even patched up the holes myself. They charged us again for dogs when we already paid the pet fee. I would not recommend this place. The gate was always broken! So much for security. Needs to be painted desperately! They painted the walls outside only and the end buildings. What is that other than cheap! You dont paint this and that. It's all or nothing!
