Let me tell you people..no one had more experiences in this place more than me..I have been an honest and respectful resident since 2002 up to now and I am willing to renew on marsh 2008..yes.I feel safe,respected and happy with my neighborhood.it is all about respect..if you respect yourself and dont make the mess,clean after your dog,leave your place clean at the pool,pay your rent on time..etc..then you would be respected as well..many nasty residents were kicked out from my building because of their selfishness and disrespect,noise,late rent or dirt..may be I am lucky that in my building only good responsible residents so far..but the truth is that tenants copy each other..if I clean in front of my door or my balcony..they do the same to keep it clean all the time..you don't need to go to the management office..what for' may be to drop the check or to request a job which in my case was honored all the time..My new apt had everything new when I move in everytime,I swiched apts 3 times..appliances..carpet,lighting fictures were absolutely new..The new manager ,Laura, seems nice and helpful,everytime I see her,she show respect,she even send out holiday cards to all residents.. I think the problem is the resident not the buildings or the management..we all know that it is an old complex apts, but you can't complain about the location..ideally close to everything,the area is safe no major problems so far or criminal threats...Let me tell you about the gate that it is not working sometimes..because unpatient stupid resident or a friend of a resident can't wait or call for the gate to be opened properly or legally,they try to sneek right after the first one who open the gate with his card,that is when they hit the door or the divider so it wont work anymore..it happened to me several times when I'm ready to get in,someone right behind me running in and smash the door because it closed back on him!!
It is been all about respect..all you have to do to enjoy your stay is to show respect by paying your rent on time,keep it clean wherever you go,clean after your dogs, don't make noise after hours..it is that simple..
Now ,I know many of you disagree with me after I read the reviews, but you know, if you do then you are the kind of resident that we don't want in here because you like to blame everything on people but yourself!!!

I agree with you totally..I love my place too and I will renew for another year..I was searching for an apt near by but at the end I decided to stay here ,it is really safe and nice place to live in,the only thing may be they can help with is to reduce the rent again like in 2005 ...

happyapt205... to assume that all complaints about WLC are unvalidated is ignorance on your part. Trust me... when I paid $905 a month for a shack, I expected to at least be treated with respect and have my issues and problems addressed in an appropriate and timely manner. I could have definitely done without the added stress. You might want to learn to use proper English grammar before you post another opinion, too.
