When I moved into the arts last year it started off on a bad note. I walked into my apt and saw stains all over the carpet and an a/c that wasn't blowing cool air. They did come and fix the a/c but they told us we where stuck with the nasty carpet with old blood stains that will not come out, that looked like we where in the hood. Things where good for a while until I was washing some clothes and went to work, came home and the apt was flooded, they didn't put the hose on the washing machine right so all the water flooded my apt. My house smelled of mildew for weeks until we bugged them enough to have it cleaned, and that when we started receiving $500.00 light bills. They also have parking spots that aren't parking spots I came home one night and there was not one parking spot in the entire complex I parked in a area with no lines but looked like a space and my car got towed Yes I know that is my fault but who fault is it when I have to walk a mile in the dark to get home and I get robbed, raped, or murdered. Now here it is almost the end of our lease thank god and we have no a/c. They have came out time after time and said nothing is wrong but it wont go below 87 degrees in our house they say it is because we are on the top floor but I have went and knocked on door and everyone else is fine. They say if we turn it down we will be fine but even if we turn it on 70 it will just never stop running and just add to our already huge light bill. The thing that really gets to me is that NO ONE IN THE INTIRE COMPANY HAS DONE ANYTHING TO HELP!!!!!!!!!!!! My roommate and I work very hard and to come home to a house that is 90 degrees that we pay $800.00 is crazy. No one has even made attempted to help they keep saying everything is fine but it s really not. We have gone to the corp. office and they where just as worthless as the slow people in the office. I think they might need a better maintenance staff if they call a 90 degree a/c in an apt is fixed. In closing I am glad I will be gone next month to a nice a/c working home.
