Boardwalk has been a disappointed to me from the day they called me and said the apartment was not going to be ready on time, which lead to my living in a hotel for a month. Management here either doesnt know what they are talking about or are liars, my guess is a little of both. The staff here, for the most part, are trained to lie to you and basically just tell you what you want to here to make you go away. I got my first taste of lying management around the time I first moved here in september. One of our amenities was supposed to be cable tv with like 8 hbo's and 4 cinemax's, but of course that never came to be and when i questioned management about it he said the company that provided that service was no longer, but we were still getting direct tv, which includes the hbo's, etc. That was a lie and when i went back to ask the manager about it he told me that i had to have a newer tv that goes to channels beyond 100, but that makes no sense because you have to have sometype of cable box for that kind of cable, yet he expected me to believe that my tv was the wrong type and wouldnt get those channels. That was just one incident of boardwalks lies. I've been here for a year and most of the amenities we were supposed to be getting still havent been provided to us. The so called movie theatre was supposed to have been done by now, out gate still isnt finished, we were also supposed to have a channel on our tv that shows whos coming and going into boardwalk but thats MIA, and our so called gym and pool area was supposed to be 24hrs, but that has never been. I made the mistake of renewing my lease because i figured i put up with this much boardwalk crap i might as well stay, but i was wrong about that. My roommate turned psycho and when i went to management for help they claimed they could do nothing. I asked them about a transfer and i was told there was no more space available and if it were possible there'd be a $200 transfer fee and $500 new security required, which doesnt make sense. About a week later though there was an incident involving my psycho roommate in which management came to our apartment and suddenly there were apartments available to transfer me and my other sane roommate and it would be free of charge, i found that to be ironic. As of now i've cancelled my renewed lease and am anxiously awaiting for the day i get to move out. Honestly, the best thing about this place are the bedroom sizes and the queen size beds. The nicest people here are the maintenence workers and i dont mean the ones who just sit around and drink beer, but the real maintenance men. I definitely wouldnt recommend anyone live here, especially now that they are charging a ridiculous amount of rent. ($515). You could get a one bedroom for as much as they charge for this 4/4 or even a 2/2 and a half townhouse is cheaper than this place.
