Nice complex, terrible management...

First off, Boardwalk is a nice complex with so much potential but unfortunately the management and about 75% of the tenants make this place a living hell to live in. I have been at Boardwalk for two years and it is about time for a change. When I first moved in, it seemed like a dream come true. But soon enough I came to discover what this place really was: The roommate matching form they tell you to fill out is a complete waste of time. You might as well rip it up and throw it away because they matched me with the biggest d*****bags I have ever met in my entire life! One of my roommates thought he was King Kong and believed he owned the place. He would blast his music so loud we would get noise complaints from Boardwalk and I thought I was at a concert at three in the morning! He would continue to do so even when me and my other roommate would ask him to turn it down! He would smoke in the house constantly, regardless that I had asthma. He even brought his whole entourage over one night to have a "study session" for final exams which consisted of smoking weed in the house and blasting music until your ears bled. My other roommate was a drug dealer and THE biggest stoner I have ever met before. The dude was literally high from dusk 'til dawn and also would smoke pot out of anything he could find (a water bottle for example) in the house with his whole group of morons. He and his girlfriend were in their own drug dealing business and would sell pot and who knows what else right out of our apartment and would have over 30 of their clients stop by in a day. Besides the roommate situation which got better when those guys moved out, the complex itself is mediocre at its best. It is extremely noisy, the cops and fire department are a constant visit nightly, people beep and honk their horns and flip the fire alarm because they think it's funny, fights break out which ends in people leaving in ambulances and whenever the people above us would have a party, all the liquid from the "party floors" would seep down and stain our walls down to the electrical sockets! Parking is a joke, they towed my car even though I live here and had a tag. I had to pay $90 bucks to get it back. When I told the Boardwalk manager (I can't remember which one, this place has been through different management at least seven or eight times) she said Boardwalk was not liable and I had to pay the 90 dollars. Both my roommate's cars have either gotten broken into or have had their side mirrors ripped off (this happened to at least 20 other cars over the holiday break I believe) The worst part of Boardwalk would definately have to be maintenance. It took them, and I am seriously not lying here, SEVEN months to fix our a/c! When I would call the front office, they treated me like I was some idiot and asked me if I had the a/c switched to on. When I told them I did and there was no cold air coming out, they asked what the temperature was in the house. I told them it was reading 85 close to 90 degrees, they completely ignored me and told me that it wasn't considered hot enough to be considered a priority! Come on. And when they finally came out to "fix" it with one of their scum workers, he lied straight to my face and told me he couldn't do the job because he did not have any freon and did not know how to install it anyway. I even found out that he lied to Boardwalk saying he had fixed my a/c when he did not! And this guy works here!' Finally after seven months they fixed it. Boardwalk has also constantly harrassed me saying numerous times I have not paid my rent (which I HAD paid on time) and threatened to kick me out in a three day notice to pay or quit bull****. This is what happens when you have morons in charge of book-keeping. This place could be so much better. They have a nice pool and club room and the apartments themselves are very spacious but that's about it. But instead when they have pool parties, everyone and their mother who doesn't live at Boardwalk raids the pool parties like you wouldn't believe and the movie room with the big screen they entice you with has hardly ever worked the whole time I've been here! Oh yeah, and trash is a major issue here. They have only ONE dumpster for the entire complex which is always overflowing. It becomes a pain to take out your trash when you live on the opposite side of the complex where the dumpster is located. We have been fined, at one time for $300 (luckily we got away from paying it) for "not placing our trash in the dumpster" because it was overflowing! So in other words someone working for Boardwalk dug through all the trash and found receipts with our names! That is psychotic! It just goes to show they are out for your money. This results in people littering and trashing the grounds which also results in a major bug problem that Boardwalk has. So there it is, Boardwalk is just a cheap gold painted piece of crap. I understand it's a college community and like myself, a college student that likes to have fun and enjoy my freedom, but this place is more like a nightclub meets Alcatraz instead of an apartment complex. Unless you are a raging alcoholic or belong to a fraternity, this place is for you. If you are serious about your education or major and enjoy partying and drinking on occasion and do not like to live around scum and filth, I suggest you find another place and live with friends you are close with and can trust.
