I lived here for just over a year, but I was ready to move out in the first month. Being a large complex they don't care to call anyone or even give notice when they want to come...you could just be lounging in your boxers watching tv and a couple strangers bust in without knocking...not cool. When I complained about it I was told to deal with it since I only had rights to my room and they laughed at me....this is something that happened at least 4 times since I'vee been there. They did give notice once, but they stated they'd be coming in between 9-5 sometime during the week...to me that's basically saying"we're coming in this week during any time of the day so stay in your room all day."

Maintenance is horrible. I literally had submit 5 maintenance requests to get anything done...I would submit 1 and wait 2 weeks and then submit an additional one once a week and there times they would even tell me they see no pending order for me. Whenever they did come they typically didn't fix things correctly.

The place is filthy. Always. People leave their trash on the stairs and all over the parking lot and pool area and management does a horrible job of cleaning it up. Yes, there are many roaches. I know pretty much all places have some, but this has more than some.

My g/f got robbed and had a car broken into, not to mention someone chipped the paint off my door in the parking lot. They have security, but security sucks. In fact, they give you a security card to get into the gate,pool and gym, but mine didn't work the whole year I was there....no joke. I often had to sit in lines of 6 or 7 cars waiting to get to my apartment so that security could check in all the strangers in front of me.

The gym blows. They fix it up when leases are about to renew so people want to move there, but that's it. No maintenance until next year. Typically 2/3 of the equipment is broken.

They give you a roommate sheet to fill out so that they can pair you with someone similar to you, but it's total crap. I got paired with a total douche that I was nothing like. I ended up getting him transferred out after he had let fruit sit on the counter so long it turned black and infested my apartment with bugs. Not to mention he never did the dishes, set the kitchen on fire and didn't clean it up and whenever I would tell him to clean up his act he would just threaten to lie and say my g/f was living with me.

All in all, this place sucks. The only thing is, almost all apartment complexes here do. I've done my research and found that property management companies are typically like a gigantic corporation. You never get anyone that cares and they end up being disorganized and inefficient. The only advice I give to you is get some friends and get a house. If you must live in an apartment, put this one far down on your list.

completely agreed to the whole thing but espcially the last paragraph. all apartment places suck, if you're thinking about campus lodge, it's one of the suckiest. i'm happy at my new place, Villa Dylano, and that is the only apartment in my 3 years in Tallahassee that i've actually renewed (that says a lot because the first 3 years i switched apartments every year). anyway, stay away from campus lodge, it suuuuuuuucks.

I live here and I agree. They barge in way to much, its just a generally uncomfortable place. Its more like a camp or dorm than your own apartment. Some woman barged in with another random lady "just showing her around" This is my apartment and I pay rent here, show her the model. Maintenance has way to many excuses to come in but when you actually need them they don't. When they come in randomly they always seem to leave a light or a fan on. Its a conspiracy!
