Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2009

This is my third year living at Chapel Terrace. The first two years I lived in a one bedroom downstairs unit and this year I moved into a one bedroom upstairs. Honestly, while this property was under Booth management, I didn't have any problems. Ever since Ipad took over, it has been nothing but bad. When we moved into the new apartment, there was a list of stuff wrong with it a mile long. To start with, the unit had not been properly cleaned. Everything was dusty, the bathroom was filthy, and there were paint smears everywhere. The back door did not lock at all, the water heater ran out of hot water after 5 minutes, the pipes were crossed for hot and cold water in the washer and dryer, the roof leaked through a big hole in the ceiling. Six months later most of it has finally been address, although the hole in the ceiling is still there. We send in maintenance requests every time it rains and it has yet to be fixed. Half the time they deny ever receiving a request. The lock on our mailbox has been replaced three times and it still won't stay shut. A month ago an underground wire connecting the main breaker to the transistor burnt out, leaving us without all major appliances and hot water for two days and no power at all for three days. This was an emergency, I'd say, and it still took three days to fix it. All of the appliances are super old as is the entire complex, everything is from the seventies it looks like. You won't get new appliances unless yours are so old they finally give up the ghost and even then you have to fight for them.
The pool area always smells like dog crap because no one cleans up after their animals. Most people just open the door and let them run around until they are ready to come back in. Count on there being a drunken raucous party in the middle of the night on most weekends and some weeknights. People float their beer in the pool and smoke weed on the pool deck. A few months ago the pool was closed for a while due to health code violations caused by residents allowing their dogs to swim in the pool. Gross! The grass rarely ever gets cut and is frequently knee length. One of my neighbors had a large piece of overhang on their back porch collapse two weeks ago and no one has come to fix it yet, though they were promised someone would be there immediately. Last week they had pieces of plywood holding up the balcony/railing in front of two apartments because the concrete had collapsed. This was really frightening!
There is much more but this is just the stuff I can remember right now. P0MtU6TIdDkM23RTonAS
