My boyfriend and I had heard good and bad things about Cypress Point and thought we would give it a try. We were approved for an apartment and given our apartment number. We paid our deposit and were told that they were working on renovating the apartment. Weeks went by and it inched closer to our move in date. Two days before our move in date we were told the apartment we were promised was double leased someone was already living in it!!! They had been lying to us all along. We shrugged it off and they offered us a larger apartment for the same rent. We went in to see the apartment and it was WAY PAST disgusting! The carpet was stained badly (we were told it was new carpet) it didn t even reach all the way to the walls there was an inch or so between where the carpet stopped and the wall. The kitchen counters were stained, the paint was peeling off the cabinets, and the tub was old and had turned yellow! The list goes on and on. I didn t even make it to look at the bedrooms! I asked for my money back right then! They refused!! I had to talk to two different levels of management to get our money back from THEIR mistake. I gave up on getting all of it back I ended up losing 70.00. Looking back on the situation I am happy that I only lost $70.00 and not a year of my life living in that dump!!!
