Absolutely HORRIBLE

I have been living here since May 2007. I started in a 2b/1b apartment and it was abolustely HORRIBLE. I moved here for my job and had about a week to find an apartment. I spoke to management on the phone and they told me they had an apartment and she would take pictures and email them to me. I thought, oh how nice... I received the pictures and they were really nice. I drove 3 hours to sign the lease and she then told me I couldn't have the keys until the following week because they were still working on my apartment. When she showed me the apartment, it looked NOTHING like the pictures and I was pretty upset. She told me everything would be fixed by the end of the following week when I moved in.

I moved in and things still were NOT finished. I called the management office and they shrugged things off like they were no big deal. A week later, things were finally somewhat decent. I thought I would settle in, but I was sadly mistaken. I work all week and on the weekends I would try to lay out by the pool... however, the pool was normally closed because it was not clean and when it was open, you end up with an audience of 5 or 6 six guys sitting there staring at you while you lay out. Of course, management says there is nothing they can do about it because they are residents also...

June rolled around and my a/c went out. I called the office again and they tell me they will send someone out... so I wait... and wait... and wait. and 2 days later, I come home from work and it's FINALLY cooling off in my apt. THe end of June comes around and I have the SAME PROBLEM WITH MY A/C AND GETTING THEM TO COME FIX IT. I went down to the management office, only to find out that the other manager is no longer there and someone new is. She was very nice and she "understood" and it wouldn't happen again.

Well, here comes JULY... I pay rent and drop it off in the slot. The 10th comes along and it's STILL not deposited... So I call the office and they tell me they have NOT received it. WHAT'!'! So I have to do a stop payment and re-issue them a check for July... Then my toliet breaks and it takes them a day to fix it... and then it breaks again the next day. This happened for a week. At the same time, my a/c goes out again... I call the office on a Sunday afternoon and ask them to send maintanence out. After hourse tells they cannot page anyone because it's the weekend. WTF. It gets hotter and hotter in my apartment (about 85 degrees) and I started getting sick. I call after hours again and tell them I'm getting sick from the heat. Same rude woman tells me it's dark out and she's not paging anyone... then HANGS UP ON ME. So I wait until Monday morning... and call at 7:30. The same woman then tells me that BECAUSE IT'S NOT 85 DEGREES OUTSIDE SHE'S NOT PAGING ANYONE AND THAT IT'S ONLY 76 SO I HAVE 9 MORE DEGREES TO GO! Oh I was ticked. The same morning, my shower water temperature changes in about 2 seconds from freezing cold to scadling hot... causing a blister on my back because I couldn't get out of the shower fast enough. I called the office AGAIN and tell them I want out of my lease and tell them exactly what I think about their management and maintenance. The new manager feels bad and offers to move me to a new apartment in the complex... a larger one 2b/2b for the same rent August 1st. Okay, fine. Well see how that goes. She even has the maintanence guys move my stuff over for me while I am at work. Points for her.

The week before they are supposed to move me, however, the maintanence manager comes to apologize because the apartment flooded... but it will be fixed by the 1st... Okay. sure. August comes around and the maintanence manager tells me they are going to replace my diswasher and stove... and need to rekey my back door lock because no one has a key to it and it does not match the front door. Okay. Sounds good. So they move me in and I'm going through the apartment (since I couldn't the week before b/c of all the cleaning to get it ready)... and the 2nd bathroom closest is ROTTING. I was disgusted. I call the office... and they send someone... it took them 2 weeks to fix it and then left a mess EVERYWHERE. Whatever. I'll do it myself at this point. Then I get a call on the 6th... they haven't received my rent check... WTF!'! I have to cancel ANOTHER check and re-issue one to them because once again, my check has mysteriously disappeared out of the drop box.

September comes... and I personally HAND THEM MY CHECK so there is no confusion. But my lock, my diswasher and my stove still are not fixed. They tell me it will be fixed the following week... It's not. October comes and it's like September again... I hand them my check but my things still are not fixed. I'm told it will be fixed... again. I'm also told that the complex manager has quit and we have a new coming in. Great. Change of management again and it's only been 6months. The maintanence manager has also quit. Wonderful.

November comes and I drop the check in the drop box on my way out of town at the beginning of the month... I'm gone for 2 weeks and get back to a NOTICE on my door... not even a call... telling me I am going to be EVICTED if I don't pay my rent in the next 3 days. WTF. I call the office and they don't understand where my checks are going... So now that I have done 3 stop payments and cut new checks, I'm pretty ticked off. December comes along and I have to drop my check again because I'm traveling for work again... But this time, I call the office and tell them. They tell me, 'oh no problem...we got it.' So I get home from traveling for a week to ANOTHER NOTICE on my door... once again telling me I'm going to be EVICTED if I don't pay rent... Um, excuse me' So after another stop payment and chewing them out AGAIN because their management and organization skills are absolutely horrible, they hand me my RENEWAL lease for the end of March... oh heck no! I tell them that my lock, my dishwasher and my stove still are not fixed and I'm not signing that until they are... They tell me they will send someone. shock shock.

Well... I'm cleaning this past weekend and open up my cabinets only to find MOLD growing EVERYWHERE from where they sprayed pest control a couple weeks before that. I take pictures and call the office. I'm told by 3 different people it will be taken care of. I leave the doors OPEN so they can see it when they walk in... I get home after work and *BIG SURPRISE EVERYONE* I have my kitchen appliances scattered across my kitchen floor and the smell of BLEACH throughout my house... AND to make it better, they didn't fix the problem... they cleaned the WRONG CABINET. WTF!'! Yes, they are such brilliant people. So I call management AGAIN and they assure me it will be fixed this afternoon when I get home. right...

I would not recommend this apartment complex to anyone. I would stay far far far away.
