I lived there when it was University Grove and really they had the same problems as most student housing apartments but nothing too bad as long as you made sure to get receipts for your rent payment. But Downunder took over and made living there one headache after the other. First, they start with all these inspections. It seems like every other week they wanted to come in and inspect the apartments. I find this incredibly invasive. I don't want to constantly be harrassed by management. Then they started to take away the features that made me move into University Grove to begin with. They said they would not be accepting packages anymore because of a few complaints about their speed of getting people their mail(which was not a big issue with Sterling). So all the students like me who are away all day at school, will not get their packages delivered and will have to try to get to the shipping facility to pick it up. Very inconveneient. Then they took away their 24 hour gym, computer lab, game room. That was probably their stupidest move...I can't tell you how many people that pissed off. Only open during office hours is a joke. Again, this is a pain in the butt if you're a student at school/work all day. Then they started towing. We did not have a parking problem at all before...there was always ample parking and parking to spare for many visitors so why did they have to try fix something that wasn't broken' The kicker was when I finally did move out. They said over and over we had to be out by 12:00pm on a certain day. Well my roommate went back to the apartment at 10:30am to take out the last of the garbage and when she got there, the office had already been there and left the door open. She thought it was strange that they would be there so early and lo and behold that same little garbage bag she was going to get--long before the cut-off time they kept reminding us about--they charged us for. They are liars, racists, and just all-around shady, painfully idiotic management. Do yourself a favor and find another place to live.
