I like many people, was sucked into down under because it was cheap and I didn't have to put down a bunch of different security deposits. DO NOT FALL FOR IT!! My overall stay which has been two years has been absolutely atrocious. The only reason I didn't move previously was because I couldn't afford it. To begin with, the people who work there are unprofessional and incredibly rude. The maintenance was worse, and only because it NEVER got done. My roommate and I's bathtub got clogged up and we were unable to fix it ourselves. So I went down and put a work order in. After a few days and no one showing up to fix it I put another one in. A few days later my roommate put a work order in again about the same problem. A month and a half later, our bathtub is still full over water that wouldn't drain from when we placed the work order! The only reason we survived was because we were in a 4/2 so we had another bathroom. So finally, almost 2 months later and some guy shows up at our door to fix it. Two months later!!!!!!!!Not only that, when down under decided to "Change the locks" on the apartment doors, they did not feel the need to tell the residence they were changing it until they were actually doing it! Whats worse is that my room mates were out of town and I was already at work. Their office closes fairly early, and I work from 3-11pm. I got home around 11.15 only to put my key into a door that wouldn't open and there was nobody in the office!The next day I went down and none to calmly demanded to know what the hell they were thinking not giving us any notice. The lady at the desk just looked at me and replied. "We gave notice" And when I asked when the hell they did that she replied "At 5 o'clock yesterday when they were changing them." However what really irritated me is that the staff just doesn't give a crap! Another huge problem we had there was the fact it is completely unsafe. There are huge gaping holes in the fences that kids come through and constantly pull the fire alarms on the buildings. But what had to be the worst experience, was when my roommate got held up by gunpoint and robbed right outside of our building! She got home from class and in broad daylight just as she was about to walk up the steps to our apartment she got held up! Downunder of course, did nothing.I strongly recommend that no one rent from these apartments while the management is as horrible as it is.
