I lived in this trash heap from 1999-2000 while attending graduate school at FSU. I made the mistake of choosing this place because the rent was cheap and it included cable. Through the years I've realized that saving that $100-$150/mo in rent can prove to be a huge mistake. Especially in a college town like Tallahassee. This complex is extremely noisy. Noise can develop on any day of the week and at any time of the day. It wasn't uncommon for me to be jolted out of bed at 3:30 am by someone's stereo or car alarm going off. Rather than get out of the car and walk four steps to the front door, visitors would lay on their horn. My only regret is that I didn't have a dozen eggs ready to throw at these imbeciles. The dumptruck driver chose really inconvenient times to come by and empty the trash. I think the time chosen has something to do with how nice the apartment complex is. Even worse were the tow truck drivers. A lot of money is made in Tallahassee as random towings take place during all times of the day and at all apartment complexes. If one tire is touching the grass your car will be towed. Just like mine was. I went to the management and finally received the $100 for the towing one month after it occurred. The pool is nasty. The grounds are covered with broken bottles and like land mines, the dog poop is scattered all over the place. As one of the other posts mentions, I do remember someone being shot in the face. I became so accustomed to the noise that I slept right through the ordeal
