This place seemed great. I was happy that it was close to campus and the rent is definitely reasonable. The problem is the management. They are very disorganized and keep deposits for random reasons.
The buildings are fairly old and shoddy. My air vents leaked, the new carpet wasn't fully installed, the closet doors kept falling off..etc. It is just generally unkempt and in need of serious renovation. The biggest issue was that my unit REEKED of cigarette smoke! Even with the new carpet in. I would go somewhere and a friend would ask me if I have taken up smoking. The staff did NOTHING about it. They told me to open windows. I took matters upon myself and asked a friend and hotel manager to loan me a professional ozone machine that they use to deodorize hotel rooms. It did not work! I then realized the vents needed to be cleaned. They were caked with dust and grime and probably retained the odor. I am also guessing the walls needed to be cleaned and painted. Well, I asked the staff to clean out the vents and they said "they don't do that" and I had to hire someone on my own.
WOW! Absolutely ridiculous. Well instead, I sublet my apartment.
There is no landscaping, just small, desperate squares of grass covered in feces from all the dogs that are roaming around. And I didn't feel very safe, a person got shot outside. If you need quiet to study then goodluck and parking/towing is an absolute nightmare. I ended up sacrificing a commute to FSU to avoid those types of problems.

And just as a side-note Booth Properties, the new management company, is absolutely terrible. I will never, ever rent from them. Anyone and everyone I have ever spoken to about them has had major issues from losing rent checks, to misplacing important documents to whatever you can think of that a management company shouldn't be.
I would recommend this place if Booth discontinues management there and the interiors are remodeled.
