Very poor sound insulation, loud dog barking

Summary:
Pros:
-Very poor sound insulation. The apartments look nice on the outside (they were built in 1996) but the soundproofing between walls and floors is very poor. You can occasionally hear talking, that is how poor it is. Even worse, the windows are very thin and of poor quality so even normal talking outside is easily heard and can wake you up early in the morning if people are walking by and talking. I live on the second floor and I can hear people talking outside frequently.
-Noise from the pool. I live fairly far from the pool (about 100 yards) yet hear children screaming at the pool frequently.
-There is dog poop throughout the complex on the grass and occasionally the sidewalk as some disrespectful dog owners neglect to clean up after their dogs. Also, while I don't mind dogs, there are many dogs throughout the complex and some owners are careless, leaving their dog off the leash which, when the dog is an aggressive breed, can lead to potential confrontations with dogs (I don't have children but this can be especially dangerous if you have children).
-Small children are everywhere. Expect to hear a lot of noise from them.
Pros:
-The quality of people that live here is good, especially for an apartment complex. This is probably due to the high rent.
-Bug problems are non-existent.
-The pool and clubhouse are well maintained and attractive.
-The outside of the buildings are well maintained and attractive.
-Maintenance is reasonably efficient.
-Rent is high, but that is a good thing as it tends to attract higher quality tenants.
-The area is safe.
